After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and garnering a strong foundation in acute care, our Founder Steph pursued specialised training in cosmetics and aesthetics. Deeply passionate about the field, Steph envisioned a warm, welcoming studio on the Sunshine Coast. With the support of her partner, Chris, Illuminate Aesthetics was born. The couple’s dedication to ensuring a gentle, comfortable experience with outstanding results defines the essence of Illuminate Aesthetics.

Steph Gardner

Meet Steph, a highly experienced Cosmetic Nurse with over 23 years in nursing. For the past 8 years, she’s been a standout in the cosmetic industry. Starting in acute care, cardiology, and procedural suites, Steph transitioned into aesthetics, driven by a strong commitment to empowering individuals. Recently trained by the renowned Dr. Tom Van Eijk, Steph mastered his exclusive Fern Pattern Technique—a cutting-edge method only a select few clinicians in Australia have learned. Steph’s personalised approach ensures each client receives a bespoke treatment plan tailored to their unique needs.

Chris Gardner

Chris qualified as a Registered Nurse in the UK in 2002. Since then, he has gained clinical expertise in Emergency, Intensive Care, Surgical nursing, and Palliative care. Chris is dedicated to ensuring you have a comfortable experience. He has a great passion for providing high quality services and an ambition to break down the barriers to male skin care and aesthetics.

Elaine Barclay

Meet Elaine, our experienced Clinic Manager at Illuminate Aesthetics Co. With a distinguished 26-year career in the UK’s National Health Service, specialising in Orthopaedics, Vascular, and Colorectal surgery, Elaine seamlessly transitioned to our team in Australia. Specialising in Cutera Body Contouring, Laser Genesis, Hydrafacial, and Synergie Skin, Elaine’s passion for aesthetics shines through. Her extensive training and commitment to continuous learning make her a trusted clinician.
